We were contacted recently by Ivan U. who had saved a variety of patent documents dating back to 1888. The documents were amongst a range of historical artefacts that had been destined for destruction during an office renovation some years ago.
For their age the documents, including some hand written patent drafts and receipts, are in excellent condition and relate to our work for Sheardown and Barker who were innovating the seed and animal feed industry.
Sadly the entity of Sheardown and Barker is no longer in existence having either merged or been acquired by other businesses during the past century.
Our warm felt thanks to Ivan for securing and generously gifting the documents to us, particularly as a number of our original documents were destroyed when our London office was bombed in 1940.
