As a Chartered and European Patent Attorney and European Patent Litigator, Alice is able to represent clients in matters before the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Unified Patent Court (UPC).
Academic Qualifications:
M.A. Natural Sciences, University of Cambridge
Alice joined Abel + Imray in 2018. She is based in London, but works closely with the Bath office team. Her undergraduate degree was in Natural Sciences, focusing on biochemistry, molecular cell biology and the history and philosophy of science. She graduated with a starred double First, and joined the patent profession shortly afterwards, qualifying in 2001.
Alice represents clients operating in a range of different technical fields including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, drug formulations, drug delivery, medical devices, industrial chemistry, biotechnology, and analytical devices and techniques. Alice is experienced in drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the UK and European Patent Offices and all major countries, managing international patent portfolios, defending and opposing patents before the European Patent Office, and providing opinions on patent-related matters.
Alice is a member of the Life Sciences Committee of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys. She is also a Justice of the Peace, and sits regularly as a magistrate in her local justice area.
