As a Chartered and European Patent Attorney and European Patent Litigator, Lindsey is able to represent clients in matters before the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the Unified Patent Court (UPC).
Lindsey joined Abel + Imray in September 2024 after working in private practice and for a large pharmaceutical company for a number of years.
She is an experienced Chartered Patent Attorney, specialising in the biotechnology field focusing on small peptides and antibodies, with expertise of large molecules particularly in the immunology, diabetes and cancer fields. Additionally, she advises on IP strategy and protection of large molecules at various stages of clinical development. Lindsey has expertise in IP Regulatory interplay including exclusivity periods, orphan drugs, regulatory data protection, supplementary protection certificates/patent term extensions and paediatric protection of large molecules. Also, drafting and prosecuting patent applications worldwide, infringement and validity, preparing EPO oppositions and Appeals against 3rd
party patents.
Achievements Previously a member of the EFPIA Orphan Working Group – EU Incentives Review and ABPI Expert Network Group where she became involved in the Consultation on the UK and Irish Bolar exemptions leading to a successful broadening of Section 60 of the UK Patents Act and Section 42 of the Irish Patents Act.
