Sofia joined Abel + Imray in 2022 and has extensive knowledge and experience of trade mark matters including complex oppositions and other contentious proceedings, settlement negotiations, and handling multi-national portfolios for clients in the UK, Europe and key global jurisdictions including Japan. Prior to joining us, Sofia had spent 25 years as a trade mark attorney with another respected UK/European IP firm where she had held a partnership position.

Sofia has often been recognised in legal rankings including the Legal 500, WTR 1000 and Managing Intellectual Property IP Stars. She has visited Japan numerous times, and given lectures there on European trade mark law. She is fluent in Spanish and French.
